Saving A Turtle

On our way home from seeing the bear & other animals, we almost hit this guy, he was right in the path of my tire, thankfully dh saw it because I had sun in my eye! I was able to go around in time though...



So we stopped and turned around in order to help the slow guy across the road, I did this once before a year ago. I never thought we would face the problem of turtles crossing the road, especially with all the woods, lol :o)



Here is hubby tring to "catch up" to the turtle, while it was slow it still was going quick for a turtle! If you look behind it you will see where it peed all over, it did not seem like it was going to stop peeing!! How a little creature held that much I don't know! When dh picked up the turtle, it kept on peeing!



That is why he is holding it out from his body like that, lol :o) Needless to say we rushed home to get his hands washed, haha! We put the turtle on the side of the road that he looked like he was heading to...An older man had gotten blocked behind our vehicle and saw the whole thing, he seemed rather pleased that someone would take the time, lol :o)
