Sewing - Cutting Patterns

I thought that since I intended on using the same pattern for two dresses that I would save time and double the fabric up with the pattern, here it is laid out before I started cutting. I had to smooth both out really well and place them on top of each other without wrinkles forming, it was a bit of a challenge, but that is mostly because I was using such long pieces of fabric...



Here the fabric is after it was cut, I peeled one back to show the two different fabrics:

The easy patterns actually have proved themselves to be more difficult to me! Weird huh? I guess their step to make it buttonless and zipless turned out to be more difficult than helpful!

Also this dress is nearly done (only hems left) I was going through my camera pictures and found this post waiting!

I would definitely try out doubling the fabrics up again! It worked wonderfully for me!
